About Us

We want the lacrosse season to be a positive experience for everyone involved. We all play a part in making that happen. Youth sports is an opportunity for our children to learn new skills, build confidence and develop their abilities - both as an athlete and as a teammate.

As parents, it is critical that we are encouraging and supportive of their growth. We ask that all parents and spectators adhere to our motto of: Coaches Coach, Referees Referee, Players Play & the Crowd Cheers. Under no circumstance should a spectator argue or interact with the referees over a bad call. We all represent the Rogers & Otsego communities and we will hold each other accountable for representing ROLAX in a positive way. The Rogers-Otsego Youth Lacrosse Association is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization committed to inspiring leadership, confidence and character on and off the field while striving to grow a competitive program and giving back to the community. We focus on teaching the fundamentals, a life-long love for the sport, and most importantly having fun!

At Rogers Otsego Youth Lacrosse, we are committed to providing a positive, fun, and supportive environment where young athletes can develop their lacrosse skills and build strong character. Our philosophy centers around the belief that lacrosse is more than just a sport—it is an opportunity to cultivate teamwork, discipline, and life skills that extend beyond the field. 

1. Quality Training: We are dedicated to offering top-notch lacrosse instruction that emphasizes skill development, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship. Our coaches focus on teaching players the fundamentals of the game while encouraging growth, resilience, and hard work. We challenge players to continuously improve and to develop a deeper appreciation for the sport. 
2. Teamwork and Collaboration: At Rogers Otsego Youth Lacrosse, we believe that the best teams are built on trust, respect, and collaboration. Success on the field is a product of teamwork, where every player plays an important role. We teach our athletes the value of supporting one another, working together toward a common goal, and lifting teammates up in both practice and competition. 
3. Character Development: We are not only focused on developing great lacrosse players, but also on shaping good people. Our players are encouraged to demonstrate respect, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of their lives—both on and off the field. Through the lessons learned in lacrosse—such as perseverance, responsibility, and leadership—we aim to foster positive character traits that help players grow into strong, respectful individuals and leaders in their communities.
